It has a really nice texture and taste, it's full of protein and carbs and it's very low in fat.
- 1 1/2 cups of water
- 28 gr protein powder of your choice (i used pea protein)
- 1 tspn of toasted carob powder
- 50 gr of pitted dates
- a small piece of a deseeded vanilla stick ( approximately half of your pinky finger!)
- 1 tspn of ground cinnamon
Directions:
- Throw all your ingredients to a food processor.
- Pulse 3-4 times and then blend them in high speed, until a frothy, fluffy texture.
3. Poor your smoothie in a large glass and enjoy!
Further:
* The carob powder gives a really yummie chocolaty taste to the smoothie that, in combination with the dates, gives the impression of eating a sweet chocolate! (at least to me, hihi)
*The best option is to use fresh dates, because you get to have all the flavour of that beautiful fruit
*If you use dried dates (like I did), you can soak them in warm water for 10-15' until they become soft. Then you can add the water you soaked the dates into the food processor (a lot of flavour is there!)
